Privacy Policy

From website visitors. If you submit the tour request form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, your child’s age group, your preferred tour day and time, what you would like to see, and any notes you choose to add.

From enrolled families. Once a child is enrolled, licensing requires us to keep a child record: the child’s name, date of birth, address, immunization status, health and allergy information, care plans, parent/guardian and emergency contact details, authorized pick-up persons, custody or court orders where they apply, subsidy details (CCFRI/ACCB), attendance, daily notes, and incident or injury reports.

Photos and videos. We sometimes photograph everyday activities. Photos are shared with you privately by default. We only use a child’s photo on this website or social media with separate, written consent that you can withdraw at any time.

Technical information. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) and a small number of cookies described below.

To answer your enquiry and arrange a tour; to assess and manage enrolment and the waitlist; to care for your child safely, including administering medication and responding to allergies or emergencies; to communicate with you during the day; to invoice and to process CCFRI and ACCB subsidy claims; and to meet our legal and licensing obligations.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your details for unrelated marketing.

Only where necessary: Fraser Health licensing officers and the BC Ministry of Education and Child Care during inspections or subsidy administration; emergency services and medical professionals in an emergency; the Ministry of Children and Family Development where we have a legal duty to report a child protection concern (this duty applies to everyone in BC and cannot be waived); and our service providers who host this website and store booking submissions on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

This site uses essential cookies and local browser storage to remember your cookie choice and your accessibility preferences (text size, contrast, reduced motion). We may use simple, aggregate traffic measurement to understand how families find us. You can clear or block cookies in your browser; essential functions such as the tour form will still work.

Tour enquiries that do not lead to enrolment are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. Child and attendance records are kept for the period required under the Child Care Licensing Regulation and financial records for the period required by tax law, after which they are securely destroyed.

Paper records are stored in a locked cabinet in the home. Digital records are stored in password-protected, access-controlled systems, and only Sonia and any licensed assistant with a genuine need can view them. All staff are subject to a criminal record check and confidentiality expectations.

Children do not use this website. All information about a child is provided by a parent or guardian, who exercises the child’s privacy rights on their behalf.

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you or your child, ask us to correct it, withdraw photo consent, or ask us to delete information we are not legally required to keep. Contact us and we will respond within 30 days.
